A slow, fragile website costs you clients you never even meet. I build WordPress sites by hand — no page builders, no plugin sprawl — so your site loads fast, ranks well, and doesn’t break the first time someone updates it.
Who this is for
- You’re launching a business and need a site that looks credible from day one
- Your page-builder site has grown slow, brittle, or impossible to edit
- You inherited a WordPress site nobody understands and need it rescued
- You’re an agency that needs a reliable WordPress developer behind the scenes
What you get
- A custom block theme designed for your brand — not a template with your logo swapped in. Hand-written code means there’s nothing on your site that isn’t doing a job.
- Speed and accessibility as defaults, not add-ons — fast loads on real phones on real connections, and markup that works for every visitor, including screen readers and search engines.
- An editor you can actually use — content, images, and pages arranged so you change them yourself. A headline edit should never require a developer.
- Migrations, redesigns, and rescues — including cleaning up page-builder sites and moving hosts without losing content or rankings.
- Deployed properly from day one — versioned code, staging before production, and backups that exist before you need them.
How a project runs
- Scope — a short call and a fixed quote. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so and point you somewhere better.
- Build — hand-written code with a preview link, so you watch progress instead of waiting for a reveal.
- Ship — an automated, tested deploy. Launches here are boring on purpose.
- Run — monitoring, backups, and updates through a monthly Care Plan, or a clean handover with documentation if you’d rather run it yourself.
Why me and not an agency?
Most freelancers build the site or run the servers; agencies hand your project between four people. Here, the person who writes your code is the person who deploys it, monitors it, and answers when something breaks. I’m a Zend Certified PHP Engineer with cloud certifications from AWS to Kubernetes — and this site practices what I preach: hand-built theme, automated deploys, real monitoring.
The practical details
- Fixed quote before we start — no surprise invoices, ever. See pricing for where projects typically land.
- You own everything — the code, the content, the hosting accounts. No lock-in to me or anyone else.
- A real timeline with the quote — you’ll know the delivery date before you commit a dollar.
- Tools I reach for: WordPress block themes / theme.json, PHP (Zend certified), Docker dev environments, Git and CI pipelines.
Tell me what you’re building — I’ll tell you honestly if I’m the right fit.
